Computer Software: Java Update

Java has released a new update that Student Affairs IT will be installing on the night of Friday, September 24th, at 10:00 p.m. Log off is not required for this update.

Users that are remotely connected may notice a message saying "ghost is completing a task." Again, log off is not required.

Computer Upgrades

Student Affairs IT has begun their annual computer swap process. About half of the computers in the Division are upgraded each year. Computers have been identified to be upgraded based on their warranty status. A Student Affairs IT staff member will be contacting selected users to schedule an appointment based on the user's availability.

September Windows Patches

Microsoft has released system patches that Student Affairs IT will be installing on Sunday night, September 19th, as part of our regular monthly maintenance cycle. These patches will cause machines to reboot. Division of Student Affairs computer users are advised to log off before leaving work for the weekend.
